11th grade sees "Hamilton"

Thanks to the Rockefeller Foundation and the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, our 11th grade U.S. History students attended a performance of Hamilton, and were able to meet members of the cast.

"The play was really important for me because I myself identify as a minority. The people in the play were all minorities and showed how the real America is today. I personally love Alexander Hamilton because I can identify with him in many ways. We were both brought to America as prospects and love finance.” CHRISTIAN RENGIFO, BOSS junior. "I learned a quote, "it's easier to die than to live." I found this quote fascinating because it applies to an everyday struggle that you have in life. It makes you think how you can achieve it. Never give up on life because nobody can teach you, but you." TYTEEANA SHAW, BOSS junior.
